Blog #4

In the end of my book, I feel as though it left some problems unexplained. After Connor and Jace had the huge argument about his sexuality, they never spoke to each other again. I found this to be a little confusing because it seemed as though they grew a strong relationship and they could have overcame this problem. Another thing that was never resolved was how Jace did not get laid, and he is still a virgin after the trip to Mexico. Although there were many distractions, I believe that if he really wanted to complete his "goal" he could have easily.
The book ends with Jace going to Cynthia's house (his ex-girlfriend in which Jace always talks bad about for cheating on him) and gives her a gift he bought in Mexico. I found this to be misleading because throughout the book Jace couldn't stop saying how much Cynthia bothered him, then he contradicts himself and goes to her house looking for her love again.
This book was interesting throughout, but i found the ending was not as good compared to the rest of the book. It leaves too many open ends and unfinished situations that leave your mind blank and unknowing.
The Space Between was relatable to many teenagers because one of the main catalysts throughout the book was peer pressure, and how others look at you, which is a problem many teens have to overcome especially when it comes to sexuality. The fact that I actually finished the book must mean that it was well written because I often lose interest very quickly, and stop reading but I read The Space Between until the end.
